The Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival is an annual, family friendly festival celebrating the outdoors, community (and of course, Bigfoot!) in the Appalachian Region of Ohio with outdoors music, food, and fun in a kid friendly - squatchy style!  


The Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival takes place every year in August. 

2026 Dates: August 14-15th, 2026


The 2026 BeaOutdoors Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival has moved to McArthur, Ohio at the Vinton County Fairgrounds.  Here is the Google Map for directions. 


ON-SITE CAMPING is AVAILABLE!!! Several local hotels, campgrounds, and private rentals are available depending on your needs in the heart of Ohio's Bigfoot Country! 


 $10 Daily Parking Pass can be purchased for entry to the entire Festival! There is NO LIMIT on the number of folks in your vehicle. 


Firstly, ENJOY the beautiful scenery during your drive to the Vinton County Fairgrounds where you can set up your camper or tent and enjoy the entire weekends festivities without leaving the place!! And, stop and shop at the Local Merchants in downtown McArthur. Sign up for hikes, enjoy speakers, listen to music, Howl like a Squatch...  Register for the VIP Dinner Friday, and hang around for the Bigfoot Town Hall! Check out all the hand selected vendors and artisans while nom on Regional foodie flair and the 4-H building! Get Squatchy with the kids and enjoy some activities and really,  just plain HAVE FUN! Be sure to stop and say hi and get an autograph from local and national speakers on the bigfoot phenomena! Take a drive over to Lake Hope and check out the Moonville Tunnel, or rent a kayak and go for a float. Lake Alma has great fishing! And Don't Forget...  take a lovely drive out of town due North and visit Vinton County's own Ravenwood Castle and keep on to visit one (or two!) of Hocking County's parks like Old Mans Cave  or head East to Athens and check out the coolest little college town! Stop at the farm and pet the animals with the kids.... There really is no shortage of cool outdoors things to do during your visit to the Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival!
